Template:Weapon Infobox The M910 Rampart point defense network is a weapon defense system utilized by the UNSC Navy on its warships, such as Paris-class heavy frigates and specially refit Halcyon-class light cruisers. Capable of firing subcaliber ammunition, they are primarily used to shoot down fighters and missiles.[1] The UNSC Pillar of Autumn was equipped with eighteen M910 105mm guns.[2] The Autumn-class heavy cruiser is equipped with six M910 point defense guns.[3]
Production Notes
Until recently, the large turrets mounted on the Paris-class heavy frigate seen in Halo: Reach were confirmed to be the canonical representation of the M910 point defense gun. However, Halo: Warfleet introduced a new quad-barrel variant onto the UNSC Pillar of Autumn, with writing lead Kenneth Peters later clarifying that the previous turrets referred to as the M910 have been retconned into naval coilguns.[4]
