Helios high-energy laser

The Helios laser takes the form of the large turret on the top of the Anlace-class frigate.

The Helios capital-scale high-energy laser is a classification of primary capital ship laser-based directed energy weaponry developed and employed by the UNSC Navy. The weapon is employed as the primary armament of the Anlace-class light frigate in the form of a large turreted mount on the ship's rear - fulfilling the role typically filled by a Magnetic Accelerator Cannon on most other warships. The weapon follows up on a growing trend of energy weapon deployment on UNSC warships, following on from the Brightlance reflex laser employed on the Mulsanne-class light frigate.
