On the PoA[edit]
The book states the Pillar is armed with 40 "50mm MLA autocannons". Are we now to assume these are the same weapons? pestilence Phil, pestilence! 12:43, 14 October 2011 (EDT)
- The UNSC seems to have a few types of 50mm gun in its arsenal. I suggest that we merge the content of point-defense gun into this page.--The All-knowing Sith'ari 12:46, 14 October 2011 (EDT)
- I agree; we'll make a sub-section for it. pestilence Phil, pestilence! 12:52, 14 October 2011 (EDT)
- Hey, I was wondering, what does "PDN" stand for? I did see the M910 part in the ONI Data Drop 6 report, but I had some trouble finding the PDN part of it. Where did this come from? What does PDN stand for? Btw, I think I will support the merging of this article with that of the Point-Defense Gun article thereby making one article. Point-defense gun just sounds pretty generic, like a class of weapons systems. M910 PDN just seems more specific. --Xamikaze330 10:51, 24 October 2011 (EDT)Xamikaze330

- Perhaps - this is speculation, of course - it stands for "point defense network". Maybe the M910 PDN is the entire ship-wide system rather than the weapon itself. --Courage never dies. 17:34, 24 October 2011 (EDT)
- Never mind; in Data Drop 6, Abiad refers to a cylinder head on "M910 serial A5883" that was leaking fluid (probably the turret's hydraulic fluid). He refers to a specific M910, suggesting that said name refers to the weapon itself, not to the system as a whole. --Courage never dies. 17:42, 24 October 2011 (EDT)
- I agree.--Bdgroot-117 12:19, 11 October 2012 (EDT)
