Valley of Tears A[1] was a Covenant natural environment module on the orbital city High Charity.
During the first hours of the Civil War of the Covenant, the Elites and their allies took this exposed location, stationing Hunters and Grunts in the center while posting Elite Honor Guards on the perimeter. Shortly afterwards, the Covenant Loyalists sought to retake the Valley of Tears A, sending forth Brutes and Jackal Snipers. SPARTAN-117 slew them all in the events of the campaign level Gravemind.
