The M99A2S3 Special Application Scoped Rifle, also referred to as the M99A2S3 Stanchion is a variant of the M99 Stanchion created on the UNSC Spirit of Fire by Isabel.[1]
Design and development
Design details
It has an inertia buffer that helps manage recoil.[3] It also has a bipod that can be folded back and secured on the weapon.[1]
It is compatible with an "ATLAS HISHOT PRO-X" smart-link optics.[1]
Ammunition
The weapon has a feed of 7 rounds. These rounds are penetrator darts that are covered in a Sabot, and Storage casing which is "full burn-up".[1]
Development history
The M99A2S3 was developed on the UNSC Spirit of Spire in its manufacturing block "23-CELL 14". It is based on a template by Isabel called "Isabel-2558-01-00023".[1]
Usage
During the Second Ark Conflict, the M99A2S3 Stanchion was used by Lance Corporal Sparks of Sunray 1-1, and had achieved at least 17 kills with it. Sparks also customized his weapon with tally marks for every kill, a Dazzle camo pattern, and two charms; a Scorpio charm and an ODST Talisman.[4]
