The Battle of Asmara was an early engagement of the Human-Covenant War. It ended in a Covenant victory and the glassing of Asmara.
The Battle
The fighting on Asmara was brutal. Gage Yevgenny's ODST fireteam took part in it. He recalled that Mason and ten other ODSTs were killed by a plasma-sword wielding Elite before he stopped its rampage with a near point-blank shot from a rocket launcher.[1]
The Assembly reported that Asmara was lost as of the beginning of 2530.[2]
