In 2549,[2] a battle took place at Kroedis II, a human colony[1] in the Kroedis system.[2]
Background[edit]
At some point during the Human-Covenant War, a Minor Prophet was assassinated by the Jiralhanae chieftain Bassus, who became tired of the Prophets' manipulations; Bassus then blamed the UNSC as responsible for the Prophet's death.[3]
Battle[edit]
Convinced of Bassus' statement,[3] Covenant forces under Supreme Commander Thel 'Vadamee attacked and glassed the planet.[1][4][3] This led to approximately 15 million casualties.[1]
Aftermath[edit]
Jameson Locke compiled information on Thel 'Vadamee's actions at Kroedis as well as at Camber, Bounty, Estuary, Alluvion, Mesa, and Greydowns into a Target profile.[1]
