Template:Multiplayer Map Infobox

Stonetown[1] is a multiplayer map in Halo 2 Anniversary. It is a remake of Zanzibar from Halo 2, with some minor changes. Zanzibar is one of the six Halo 2 multiplayer maps that have been completely re-imagined in the remastered multiplayer portion of Halo 2 Anniversary.[2][3]

Layout

Changes from Zanzibar

  • Several aesthetic additions have been included in Stonetown, such as graffiti, tarps on scaffolding, and a Lethbridge Industrial logo.[4]
  • The pillars were either removed or placed elsewhere in the power station to open the room up more.[4]
  • An air duct has been added by that stairs in the power station that players can enter or exit, or throw grenades through.[4]
  • The switch to open the gate in the power station was moved directly above the gate—requiring players to shoot the switch to activate it. However, the switch can be returned to its original position in Forge.[4]
  • There is a pile of debris in the "Blockhouse" section of the map to give players an alternative way to climb up to a sniper tower.[4]
  • In front of the rocky castle at the beach, a man cannon gives players an alternative route to the castle's walls. It can be disabled with Forge.[4]

Trivia

The map is named after Stone Town, an old part of modern-day Zanzibar City, the capital of Zanzibar.
