The M65 Asynchronous Linear Induction Motor is a gauss cannon employed by the Colonial Military Authority, in particular the CMA Marine Corps. The weapon was later supplanted by the M68 Gauss cannon - a weapon which was put into wide use throughout the United Nations Space Command. Unlike the M68, the M65 features no built-in frontal armour to protect the operator, and has an optics module off-centre.[1]
