The BR75 Breacher is a modified variant of the BR75 battle rifle used by the UNSC Marine Corps.[3][5]
Overview[edit]
Design details[edit]
- Main article: BR75 battle rifle
The Breacher variant of the BR75 battle rifle has improved stopping power, tuned for close-range encounters.[4] It has additional yellow coloration on certain components, including the rail integration system, the charging handle, the trigger, and the magazine.[7]
Usage[edit]
The BR75 Breacher was employed by UNSC forces during the campaign on Installation 07 in 2559-2560.[3]
In-game information[edit]
In campaign, the BR75 Breacher is a legendary weapon awarded to the player in the Forward Operating Base progression system upon reaching 1,100 Valor; the weapon then can be acquired at any Forward Operating Base. It has a reduced magazine size from 36 to 30, though it has improved stopping power, increased damage (killing a fully-shielded Spartan with 15 rounds instead of 21 rounds), and a higher rate of fire. The optic magnification is also reduced from 2.5× to approximately 1.5×.[3] The BR75 Breacher can also be acquired in the open world; two can be found next to dead Marines on the cliffs south of the area where the level Excavation Site takes place, a few feet away from a Spartan core.
In multiplayer, when players pick up or spawn with the BR75 Breacher, their customization options are automatically applied to the weapon model, and the unique appearance of the BR75 Breacher is lost.
