Changes from Zanzibar[edit]
- Several aesthetic additions have been included in Stonetown, such as graffiti, tarps on scaffolding, and a Lethbridge Industrial logo. The power plant structure now has a more futuristic design and is larger. A space elevator is visible some distance off the map's coastline.[3][Note 1]
- The pillars in the main room of the power station were either removed or placed elsewhere to open the room up more.[3]
- An air duct has been added by that stairs in the power station that players can enter or exit, or throw grenades through.[3]
- The switch to open the gate in the power station was moved directly above the gate—requiring players to shoot the switch to activate it. However, the switch can be returned to its original position in Forge.[3]
- There is a pile of debris in the "Blockhouse" section of the map to give players an alternative way to climb up to the sniping spot commonly known as "Camp Froman".[3]
- In front of the rocky castle at the beach, a man cannon gives players an alternative route to the castle's walls. It can be disabled with Forge.[3]

Production notes[edit]

Trivia[edit]
- The "Spaz" graffiti that may be located on the map is the name of the dog of former Bungie Employee, Paul Russel.

Notes[edit]
- ^ The space elevator seen on the map is remarkably similar to the Mombasa Tether, but is unlikely to be the same elevator. The tether appears to be under construction, and the city surrounding it is nowhere near as built up as it is seen in Halo 2 and Halo 3: ODST. Also, Zanzibar Island is over a hundred kilometers away from Mombasa, and even a structure as large as the tether would not be as clearly visible at such distances as it is on the map. Given the tether's apparently incomplete status, it is more likely that the map is set in the post-war period and depicts a new space elevator constructed further away from the East African coast, close enough to be clearly visible from Zanzibar.
