The M99A2S3 Special Application Scoped Rifle, also referred to as the M99A2S3 Stanchion is a variant of the M99 Stanchion created on the UNSC Spirit of Fire by Isabel.[1][2]
Design and development
Design details
The Stanchion is equipped with an inertia buffer that helps manage recoil[4] and a bipod that can be folded back and secured on the weapon. The rifle is compatible with an "ATLAS HISHOT PRO-X" smart-link optic.[1][2]
Ammunition
The weapon has a feed of 7 rounds. These rounds are penetrator darts that are covered in a Sabot, and Storage casing which is "full burn-up".[2]
Development history
The M99A2S3 was developed on the UNSC Spirit of Fire in its manufacturing block "23-CELL 14". It is based on a template by Isabel called "Isabel-2558-01-00023".[1][2]
Usage
During the Second Ark Conflict, the M99A2S3 Stanchion was used by Lance Corporal Sparks of Sunray 1-1, and had achieved at least 17 kills with it. Sparks also customized his weapon with tally marks for every kill, a Dazzle camo pattern, and two charms; a Scorpio charm and an ODST Talisman.[1]
