Edit Summaries

I find some of your edit summaries you've used when dealing with vandals/anons to be uncivil. I think that summaries such as "Get a life fag", "AHHA RAPED FAG", "Moron! Leave it alone!" and "idiots...try correct grammar...and putting the testimonial on the talk page" violate the Halopedia:Personal Attacks|personal attack]] policy, and do not think they are right, in any situation. Now, please don't take this in the wrong way, I am not trying to be an admin poser or anything like that, I just cringed a tiny bit at seeing these summaries. Even they may be vandals, these may provoke them into inducing further damage to the project, which, obviously we don't want. I understand what you're trying to do with reverting IP edits, but please try to take a better look at the changes before reverting since not all IPs are vandals. It was decided that due to the dwindling community population here, and the presense of an independent Halopedia, a second Halo encyclopaedia would be both inefficient and hard to maintain (we already suffered an horrific vandal attack involving unspeakable content being added into high-traffic templates which could not be removed from computers until fully re-cached). We chose to, for example, merge minor Jiralhanae characters into a unified list of such characters - it is both easy to police; maintain and to find information. It was also decided, again due to the presense of an independent Halopedia, that we should focus on a different aspect - as such we have become a more 'community-driven' wiki in place of an encyclopaedic-driven. Fan-made content that has made recognision on official sites, for example, are now considered "notable".-- Forerunner 00:21, March 25, 2011 (UTC)

As I've said before... it is not acceptable to diminish this wiki in favour of a fork. You are welcome to add to content to broaden its scope beyond being just canon, it's not acceptable to remove valid articles. If you don't want to maintain it, then you don't have to of course. But it is not right to remove canon content in order to (let's be frank here) prevent it competing with a fork. If you want a non-complete non-canon wiki, you are welcome to create one, this wiki is not it. We have assumed good faith here, and left admins in place, but either you commit to this wiki as a source for canon (and other) content, or you move on fully and allow this wiki to re-grow a community that will. -- sannse (help forum | blog) 00:42, March 25, 2011 (UTC)

I agree with what you are saying - this was founded as an encyclopaedia and people may want it to remain as such. However, we already held an advertised Forum:Fate of this Wiki and what you can do about it!|community concensus over reform to the wiki, where we provided answers to community questions regarding the changes over the past few months - there was little/no opposition to the reforms, and so they were carried out. About my story...

When you meant my ranks were a little bit lopsided, it didn't quite make sense to me. What I mean is that you said that I should have an overall rank of CDR or LCDR, but in Noble Team Carter-A259 is the leader, with the rank of Commander, and Kat-B320 is his Executive Officer, with the rank of Lt. Commander. Could you clarify it better for me? Thanks!

Rules about blogging

A while back I made a blog, but it was deleted. This 'lovely' message was left behind (picked it from the delet-page) "Violation of the Halo Nations blog policy; read the rules."

RE:Edits to Helljumper611's page

If someone is willingly making a list of faulty edits I think that they at least need a 'talking-to' from someone higher in rank than that person. I once tried to connect with a vandal and it blew back in my face, which ended with a lot of spam, a lot of vadalism and a banned account (not mine). This way, I believed higher-ups would give that user a 'talking-to' and not the messenger. If there is another template to do that, please notify me. Wilc0 19:03, May 17, 2011 (UTC)

Parala 'Ahrmonro

Why was my edit on the Parala 'Ahrmonro page reverted? I removed the Rating}} template, changed the font size of the Source from small to normal and simply changed the species name from the human style to the universal style. I still don't understand, the Rating template is being removed everywhere, the size of the reference is supposed to be normal sized font, and I believe that Halopedia is written in universal way (which means we call the Elites "Sangheili"). HaloNation wiki redirects to halopedian

I seem to have this problem. Appearently the halo wiki Halo Nation redirects to halopedian if you type: "halo.wikia.com" I'm wondering if Only i have this problem or if someone messed with the wiki.HaloReplicas 00:37, 21 July 2011 (EDT)
