That's great man, thanks. Feel free to create pages for whatever subjects you're most interested in. And if you know anyone else who likes Halo and supports independent wikis, I'd love to have them on board. --Steve (talk) 14:51, 17 August 2010 (EDT)
Re: Xbox Live[edit]
Sure, send me a request. You can see my gamercard on my userpage. You can add your gamercard to your page using <gamercard>GhetoRussianSpy</gamercard> or {{Right|<gamercard>GhetoRussianSpy</gamercard>}} if you want to float it to the right. Also, would you be interested in becoming a patroller on this wiki? --Steve (talk) 15:45, 18 August 2010 (EDT)
Re: Patroller[edit]
Being a patroller has a few other perks, but the most important is the ability to block users. You don't have to do anything extra unless someone is vandalizing the wiki, in which case you would block them and rollback their edits. If you're more comfortable as just an editor, that's fine. How long are we talking for these periodic absences? And I might be able to play tomorrow; I'll watch for you on Live. --Steve (talk) 18:17, 18 August 2010 (EDT)
Re: Internet[edit]
That sounds reasonable. The important thing is that you visit the wiki and contribute when you have the time. If someone is blanking pages or adding inappropriate content, you can block them indefinitely. If someone is adding content but they're just causing trouble or being a pain to other users, you can block them for a week or a month. If you're going on vacation for example when you know you won't have Internet access, you should let me know. Does that sound good? --Steve (talk) 19:07, 18 August 2010 (EDT)
Re: Sounds Good[edit]
That all sounds great. The site administrators are listed here, but most of them are inactive now. You probably won't have to do too much patrolling until the site picks up some more contributors, and then as that happens we'll start to replace some of these inactive administrators. Welcome to the team! --Steve (talk) 03:19, 19 August 2010 (EDT)
Re: Categories[edit]
Just add the following to the bottom of the page:
[[Category:Insert Name]]
For example, you could add:
[[Category:Covenant]] [[Category:Weapons]]
to the bottom of a page for a new covenant weapon. If the category doesn't exist already the link will be red, so you can click it and create the category page. --Steve (talk) 19:57, 19 August 2010 (EDT)
Re: Page Title[edit]
You have the power to move pages. Try using the "move" tab at the top of the page. --Steve (talk) 16:00, 2 September 2010 (EDT)
