Fix link
It appears that the link in the left header to "Halo: The Great Journey: The Art of Making Worlds" does not work (under books and media; reference). I suggest an admin fix it. pestilence Phil, pestilence! 22:36, 21 June 2011 (EDT)
- Simply change the word "making" to "building" pestilence Phil, pestilence! 22:38, 21 June 2011 (EDT)

Hero videos
On waypoint they have a series of videos called Hero. the latest is Hero-Sacrifice. SHouldn't they have pages?--210.56.88.194 10:07, 17 July 2011 (EDT)
- No other videos from Waypoint have pages,so no.--1234fansofHalo 16:11, 20 July 2011 (EDT)
- Is there a reason why? The Regret documentary has/had a page. It's no different from archiving BWUs.-- Forerunner 16:59, 20 July 2011 (EDT)
- If we were to have a page for this then wouldn't we format it the way Halo Trailer videos are formatted or something like that.--1234fansofHalo 17:06, 20 July 2011 (EDT)
Shouldn't the Waypoint videos have pages? It seems strange not to include them--210.56.91.57 01:00, 21 July 2011 (EDT)
Question
Is it just me or does anybody else have the problem that when they try to go to halo nation they get sent here. 173.51.78.230 19:44, 20 July 2011 (EDT)
I'm having the same problem, if i go to halo nation, i also get sent here..HaloReplicas 05:26, 21 July 2011 (EDT)
Q&A
Is there a Q&A on this wiki? I know some gaming wikis have some sort of Question and Answer section (like CoD's "Ask a Veteran") where people can get a direct answer from other users about gameplay facts or such. Bioniclepluslotr 20:38, 28 July 2011 (EDT)
- We tend to use THIS instead; its easier, quicker, and doesn't require any proper Human interaction. CommanderTony
- Sometimes human interaction is more reliable. Why do people use Yahoo Answers instead of Google? Bioniclepluslotr 13:02, 30 July 2011 (EDT)
- Because they don't know the formula to asking a question on Google, i.e. What + your query + ? CommanderTony
- I find Bioniclepluslotr's suggestion interesting. I feel a Q&A system would improve relations between users and also be a good platform for interesting debates.--The All-knowing Sith'ari 18:36, 30 July 2011 (EDT)
- We already have plenty of those in the Forum:Index|forums and on individual article talk pages. CommanderTony
Close enough?
As 343GS and 2401PT's prefix codes (04 and 05, respectively) match their respective installations' codes, is this a confirmation that the ring under 05-032MB's control was the original Installation 05?-- Forerunner 20:58, 28 July 2011 (EDT)
- This may be true, but it doesn't account for the existance of 2401. Why was he the installation's monitor when Medicant Bias was too? If MB was (at some point) the monitor, that could explain the release of the flood, and the existance of a gravemind on 05's surface. pestilence Phil, pestilence! 02:49, 29 July 2011 (EDT)
- MB was caretaker to one of the original twelve rings and then went rampant. After eleven were destroyed and another severly damaged the Ark built another set. Even if the damaged one was Installation 05 and it was repaired rather than replaced, his rampancy and betrayal would probably be grounds to call for his replacement.-- Forerunner 06:27, 29 July 2011 (EDT)
- I fully agree that Mendicant Bias' Halo was the original Installation 05. Although Cryptum makes it very clear that MB was not a true monitor like Guilty Spark or Penitent Tangent, it was charged with the ring's operation and protection, just like a "real" monitor. Yesterday, I made a note on the 05-032 Mendicant Bias article stating that MB was likely the caretaker of the original Installation 05. I'm certain that Primordium will identify Mendicant's Halo, considering that - as far as we know - it is the setting of the entire novel. --Courage never dies. 08:28, 29 July 2011 (EDT)
Mendicant Bias is a different class than Guilty Spark or Penitent Tangent. How are we to know whether the same descriptor rules apply to a Contender-class AI? It may mean something altogether different. -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 07:55, 31 July 2011 (EDT)
Magnetic holsters
I've been looking for information about the holsters used on the Mjolnir amor and how it works etc. but have found none. Can anyone point me in the right direction?--210.56.91.101 02:19, 31 July 2011 (EDT)
- Try the MJOLNIR articles, specifically the articles for the Mark IV, V and VI versions. It should be there. Really, there's not much to say - they're magnetic, and they hold guns in place instead of cumbersome metal, plastic, leather or fabric holsters that can get in the way. -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 07:52, 31 July 2011 (EDT)
- I checked those pages but couldn't find any mention. I basically just wanted to see if they'd ever provided much detail on them and if it was just contained to the thighs and back or if it could be applied to other areas of the suit--210.56.91.101 12:06, 31 July 2011 (EDT)
- From the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor page:
- "Magnetic weapon holder strips: Available on the Mk. IV, Mk. V, and Mk. VI, the magnetic strips are very small yet powerful magnets place on the legs, waist, and back of the suit and is used to hold any equipment with a magnetic property. The suit also contains an electromagnetic system on the boots of the MJOLNIR suit that allow its wearer to stay attached to a metal surface in Zero G environments and can be toggled on or off by the wearer." --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 12:13, 31 July 2011 (EDT)
- Oh wow, can't believe I missed that. Thanks for the help!--210.56.81.227 22:14, 31 July 2011 (EDT)
Colors
What formatting do I use to get colors in my sig? I don't know man, but it keeps me up at night. Vegerot (talk) 14:12, 5 August 2011 (EDT)!!!
- Put <font_color=(the colour you need without brackets)>text, removing the "_", ie; hello. -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 17:24, 5 August 2011 (EDT)
I tried doing that, and it said that it had an, "Invalid raw signature. Check HTML tags" I don't know man, but it keeps me up at night. Vegerot (talk) 21:36, 6 August 2011 (EDT)!!!
- Most likely you didn't close the tags properly. Use the following:
<span style="color:#008000;">Colour</span>
- Which will create "Colour"
- For more colours, refer to List of colours.— subtank 22:34, 6 August 2011 (EDT)
Let's see... I don't know man, but it keeps me up at night. Vegerot (talk) 23:06, 6 August 2011 (EDT).
Edit: What the fuck?! I don't know man, but it keeps me up at night. Vegerot (talk) 23:07, 6 August 2011 (EDT)!
Cut the profanity. A little tinkering will get you there eventually. If need be, open up Microsoft Frontpage, get a signature format you like, then copy-paste the HTML code for it. I did that for a long time while I got the hang of things, figuring out what worked and what didn't. -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 07:53, 7 August 2011 (EDT)

Error
In the sidebar, if you look under games, Halo: Glasslands is still known as Ghosts of Onyx 2. An admin should probably change that soon. Vegerot goes RAWR! File:Icon-Vegito2.gif Vegerot (talk) 11:06, 10 August 2011 (EDT)
Halo 3 Vidoc: In The Beginning
I've noticed that this ViDoc for Halo 3 is absent from the wiki. Should it be added?--210.56.81.72 06:41, 13 August 2011 (EDT)
Coding flaw, or my computer?
Go to your message board. Hold your mouse over someone's name on your board until it pops up. Every time I've done this I've gotten the person's name, and then a "}". Is that supposed to be there, or is that a small chunk of garbage in the vast coding of the boards? pestilence Phil, pestilence! 18:45, 17 August 2011 (EDT)
- Well its not just you, but I think its hardly anything to worry over. Hopefully one of the more gifted coding experts can help you out with this one. CommanderTony
- Meh, it's not a big deal, but I still think it should be fixed. pestilence Phil, pestilence! 18:51, 17 August 2011 (EDT)

Columns
Is there a way to make two columns in an article? Specifically, I want to put the lists here into two columns side by side. Bioniclepluslotr 17:28, 31 August 2011 (EDT)
- Yes, you use the "Col-begin" and then the "Col-2" templates. After your columns are done, use the "col-end" template. For an example, see here.
The end of halo
Are the most frightning words ever spoken to halo fans,The end kinda sadens me becuase when I got Halo 2 the 3 the odst it felt like halo was never going to end ,but when reach came out it was the end.But then came 343 who created halo1 and going to create halo4.But what about halo 6 is that the end?The end of halo the end of halopedia the end of halo nation the end of a story?--Marine 777 22:11, 2 September 2011 (EDT)
- Why does there have to be an end? if we assume a three-year development period, the standard length for Halo games (obviously not including ODST), then we're going to have Halo games coming up until at least 2018. That's not including novels, comics, animated stuff, and other merchandise, which we've seen an increase of under 343i. Who knows? Perhaps there'll be more after that - as Bungie, Microsoft and 343i have been so fond of reminding us, the Halo universe is an incredibly rich place, with a lot of depth that can be delved into. And Frankie has promised us that there will, someday, be a Halo movie - so we have that to look forward to. As far as I can see, Halo is still going strong. -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 22:33, 2 September 2011 (EDT)
Citing Reviews?
I was looking at the Action Figures articles, and some of the figures have Amazon reviews cited as sources. They seem to be by the same person, who's probably adding as the citations. Is this allowed, as it's not official, and many of the points are item specific (such as broken parts in package and mismolding)? Bioniclepluslotr 13:52, 3 September 2011 (EDT)
Hey, I found this Halo website that I think others should know about, even though, just like every other website, it is still somewhat incomplete. To navigate to the website, click here, or you can simply google it: Halo Heaven. I think it should be posted in the Community Links section on the Main Page. That is, if everyone thinks it should be so too. Probably can only be done by an admin, though. Xamikaze330 15:02, 11 September 2011 (EDT)Xamikaze330
Understanding Pyrrhic victories
Looking around the wiki, I have noticed the word 'Pyrrhic victory' tossed around when it isn't the right word. Here's the meaning
- A battle whereby the victor is at risk of losing the war should another engagement on the same scale take place. - An example is the Battle of the Bulge whereby the Germans succeeded in destabilising the Allied divisions (especially the American 101st Airborne), though they allowed the Allies free-roam into Germany.
This is Halopedia's definition:
- A battle whereby the victor loses more men than the loser. An example is the Battle of Installation 04 when the crew and marines of the Pillar of Autumn are killed against "an entire Covenant armada".
Many battles involve the victor taking heavy casualities; it doesn't automatically make it Pyrrhic. It's about how much men and equipment you have left to replace your loss than your loss itself. Because of the scale of the Covenant military, their losses during the Fall of Reach are minor; the sizes of Truth's fleet around the Unyielding Heirophant and High Charity after the battle show just that.-- Forerunner 07:41, 17 September 2011 (EDT)
Are we... done?
I was just browsing across some of the pages today and I realized something: I can't find any more signs of the old era templates. Did we finish updating it? Finally? If not, point me the way, I'll be glad to finish off this massive project that has been going on for quite some time now. pestilence Phil, pestilence! 00:06, 7 October 2011 (EDT)
