Steel Skin Pack
From Halopedia, the Halo wiki
- "With the Steel Skin Pack, stylize your favorite loadouts with the most elaborate and impressive Halo 4 weapon skins to date. Inspired by classic steampunk aesthetics, the Steel Skin Pack covers the gamut with ten UNSC, Covenant, and Forerunner weapons, grafting vivid, dynamic plating and textures across your weapon of choice unlike any that you’ve ever seen."
- — Official description[1]
The Steel Skin Pack is a DLC pack for Halo 4, and was a part of the Champions Bundle. It was released on August 20, 2013, for $2.99 USD or 240 Microsoft Points. The Steel Skin Pack contains the steampunk-inspired weapon skins for all loadout weapons.[2]
The content of the Steel Skin Pack was originally not available for use in the Halo 4 component of Halo: The Master Chief Collection upon its launch in 2014. However, the weapon skins would eventually release through Series 4: Reclaimer's battle pass in November of 2020.
On July 7, 2017, along with the rest of Halo 3, Halo 4, and Halo: Reach's DLC, the Steel Skin Pack was made free to those on Xbox Live.[3] With the sunsetting of Xbox 360 Halo-related content leading into 2021, this DLC along with all other major Halo game-related content was delisted from digital storefronts on December 18, 2020.[4]
