Scorrin's Blade is a Hekar Taa-pattern blockade runner serving within Arbiter Thel 'Vadam's Swords of Sanghelios.[1] The vessel notably served during the Battle of Suban in 2560.[1][5]
Overview[edit]
Design details[edit]
Scorrin's Blade features a hyperscanner capable of identifying and recording a target warship's armaments for further analysis by a crewmember.[1]
Service history[edit]
By November 10, 2559, Mahkee 'Chava had become the Shipmistress of Scorrin's Blade. The Hekar Taa-pattern blockade runner had a unique standing amongst the Arbiter's fleets, having accumulated more kills than any other under the Swords of Sanghelios banner. Ranger teams from the ship extracted a message from a relay mite attached to a battlecruiser stationed on Venezia that belonged to Sali 'Nyon's Covenant. The message was from High Lord Dovo Nesto, the leader of the Order of Restoration, revealing the Order's plans to take control of the Lithos on a human colony and through it, the Domain. 'Chava brought the message to the Shadow of Intent where the message, which had been meant for Kafo Dein, was deciphered using data that Stolt pulled from the Vigilance with Piety.[6]
'Chava was later returned to her ship before the Shadow of Intent accompanied the UNSC Victory of Samothrace to Venezia to chase down Nesto.[7]
- Main article: Battle of Suban
In 2560, Scorrin's Blade participated in the Battle of Suban, where the Banished launched an attack on Suban in an attempt to claim the moon's precious Subanese crystals.[5] During the battle, Scorrin's Blade's hyperscanner identified the armaments of the Ghost of Barolon, a Banished dreadnought that participated in the battle. Shortly after this, scannermaster Dibdib aboard Scorrin's Blade performed an analysis on this data.[1]
Trivia[edit]
Despite its slightly different spelling, the name of the vessel may be a reference to Scorinn, a member of the Ussans and one of the first Sangheili to inhabit the Refuge.
