Installation 04 is the third track (Disc 1 Track 3) in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary: Original Soundtrack.

Overview[edit]

The track opens with the Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary of the Halo Theme Gregorian chant, which is also featured in the earlier track Random Slipspace Trajectory. It is followed by an arrangement of the Halo Theme string melody variation in the track Truth and Reconciliation Suite from Halo: Original Soundtrack, featuring the same piece from the later track Honest Negotiation Suite. However, instead of ending with the low string solo, the section ends with a reprise of the Gregorian chant overlaid with the twinkling effects from the later track Still, Moving. The track the ends with Siege of Madrigal.

Appearances[edit]

The track plays in place of its Truth and Reconciliation Suite counterpart in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, in the campaign level The Maw, during the final chapter in which John-117 escapes the UNSC Pillar of Autumn on a Warthog after Echo 419 is shot down.

Installation 04 is featured in Forza Horizon 5 as part of the Radio Eterna radio station's playlist, added via the Series 40 update released on November 5, 2024. Here, it is credited to simply Halo.[1]
