HAZMAT (short for Hazardous Materials) teams are personnel tasked with cleaning up potentially dangerous spills and handling material that is not safe for other personnel to handle.
Overview[edit]
Responsibilities[edit]
HAZMAT teams assist in cleaning hazardous areas or objects like broken and leaking Shaw-Fujikawa Translight Engines.[2]
When they do not remove these problems directly, they may tag a space-borne hazard with HAZNAV (navigation hazard) satellites to warn other ships from straying too close to it.[3]
Equipment[edit]
Some HAZMAT teams utilize the OSTEO combat engineering suit.[4]
History[edit]
A HAZMAT team was deployed to New Phoeonix following the New Phoenix Incident.[1]
