For Halo 4 we have many choices for our SPARTAN-IV armor customization. Here are my opinions on what's available so far. Be reminded, this is just for kicks and I am in no way bashing the game or its features. You have any opinions, feel free to leave them under mines.

Air Assault

I'll add a pic of the helmet when it becomes available.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 16:43, 8 September 2012 (EDT)

Pretty much the same as it was in Reach. Not bad looking though.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 09:05, 18 September 2012 (EDT)
Again, since its one that has remained relatively unchanged since its last iteration, it looks cool. This is one I'll consider when the game comes. --TentacleTornado 15:54, 18 September 2012 (EDT)

Used to use this, but just got scout. Fair chance I'll switch back though. Quite like it. This is craZboy557, signing off. 21:48, 30 November 2012 (EST)

Aviator

Looks similar to the Grenadier variant.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 07:25, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

I see a little bit of resemblance to Grenadier, but I think it really looks like a beefier version of the Recruit helmet. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
This definitely reminds me of the armour in Crysis, or a mix of the nano-suit and Grenadier. --TentacleTornado 15:01, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
Interesting. It says in the description that this armor is recommended for those who pilot Broadsword A/X's. A longsword replacement? Missing Mandible 10:12, 5 September 2012 (EDT)
It may well be a replacement or could be a supplement. If this is it, it's smaller, sleeker, and may incorporate features of the Sabre such as energy sheilding but I'm just taking a wild guess.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 16:43, 8 September 2012 (EDT)

It does give off the Crysis vibe doesn't it, but I like the design, kinda interesting.--GMASTER 09:25, 24 September 2012 (EDT)

Actually reminds me somewhat of the marine cold weather armor helmets from halo wars. Spartan 501

CIO

Kind of reminds me of the alien robot from "The Iron Giant". It looks okay for the most part.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

It definitely reminds me of the Iron Giant, its not the best armour, but its not that bad either. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
The way the GUNGNIR-style camera eyes are oriented reminds me of the Pfhor from the original Marathon. In Marathon 2 and Infinity, the Pfhor's eyes were inverted so the bottom eye wouldn't look like a clown nose; because of this change, they went from looking somewhat comical to looking like they had Predator plasma casters aimed at their faces at all times. The similarity is coincidental, of course, given that Marathon is Bungie's property. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

Woah, looks at those cold, lifeless eyes, creepy, nuff said for this one...--GMASTER 22:36, 23 September 2012 (EDT)

Commando

Looks good. Unfortunately that's just from a side view. He didn't turn his head back to the front in time for a front shot.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 13:06, 18 September 2012 (EDT)

Aww.. Another thats been changed to death... It was good in Reach, but it looks kinda bad to me.. --TentacleTornado 16:19, 18 September 2012 (EDT)

Looks like a f***ing alien. This is craZboy557, signing off. 21:48, 30 November 2012 (EST)

Deadeye

Looks okay. Don't understand the middle "deadeye" visor piece but its probably for aesthetics.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

Its alright. Kinda similar to Rogue, It will probably be its replacement since the Rogue is already taken. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
Meh. It isn't bad, but it certainly doesn't grab my attention. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

It looks like they put the bullseye there to make it easier to get headshots. But I'm not saying this helmet doesn't look interesting.--GMASTER 19:45, 24 September 2012 (EDT)

Defender

Despite vaguely resembling the JFO helmet - one of my favorites - this one is hideous. However, I really like its backstory. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

Does resemble the JFO helmet but also in my opinion, the War Master helmet as well, kinda has similar elements including the shape of the visor. I can't see its back story, the image is a lil blurry.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 12:43, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
This does remind me of JFO. The backstory is nice, a little mention of the books is always welcome. --TentacleTornado 15:01, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

The visor looks like a face. I deem that weird! This is craZboy557, signing off. 20:00, 7 November 2012 (EST)

Enforcer

This one looks like a bulkier version of the B5D Operator helmet. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

Agreed- just with a slimmer visor.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 12:43, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
Definitely. Though I preferred operator. --TentacleTornado 15:01, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

Engineer

Helmet looks weird and a lil ugly. Must have some new technology for the visor or a hidden camera somewhere, otherwise you wouldn't be able to see out of it.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

The armours nice, but the helmet is weird... I don't really see how someone could see through that, unless they had some sort of sophisticated HUD system. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
I certainly looks functional, but I'm afraid it looks more like a welding helmet than a MJOLNIR variant. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

EOD

From an aesthetic perspective, I don't like the sleeker contours and separate eyepieces of this version; it certainly looks inferior to the Mark V variant and even the Mark VI. Practically speaking, however, these design elements make sense given the helmet's function. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

I admit, I like the Mark V more but this one is okay.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 12:43, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
It does look more practical than the past versions, but , again, I preferred the Mark V. --TentacleTornado 15:01, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
Personally, I had been a long time fan of EOD, used it all the time.
Though the Mark V is my favorite version, to me this is just sad, it just looks like some tired guy.
Not gonna plan on using this in Halo 4 unless it is re-edited, hopefully.GMASTER 09:48, 12 September 2012 (EDT)
Unlikely it'll be redesigned due to anyone's distaste for it.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 11:57, 12 September 2012 (EDT)

What I meant by that was that, of course they wouldn't change the design, so therefore I'm not going to use it in this game. But like I said, I have a great amount of disdain for this iteration of the helmet, they could have put more thought into it, but they were restrained by time, though I wonder how many at 343 industries regret this design on such a classic, hmm... GMASTER 22:42, 23 September 2012 (EDT)

EOD I always thought looked better in Halo 3, though that might be because I went through hell to earn that thing. (CORTANA!!!!!!!!) I've always preferred it with eye pieces, though, and wished they kept in in Reach. This looks like they took the two designs and just merged them together and that caused the helmet to grow uncontrollably. This helmet looks like one of those pro/con things; on the one hand, thing's so big, it'll make you look taller. On the other, you'll probably be an easier headshot to spot.Fairfieldfencer FFF 07:40, 19 October 2012 (EDT)

Well, the helmet looks less weird in the new pic, even if it still looks like the helmet is incredibly tired. This is craZboy557, signing off. 20:02, 7 November 2012 (EST)

I always loved this one to do a Stormtrooper Impression Flavius Aetius 16:59, 10 November 2012 (EST)

EVA

This is probably my favorite iteration of the EVA helmet. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

Definitely looks slightly different from the other EVA's, given the curved nature of the visor towards the mouthpiece.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 12:43, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
I'm not sure about this version, I liked the Mk VI, but not the Mk V. I would prefer it if there was more detail on the visor. --TentacleTornado 15:01, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

Quite similar to the Pilot armor in Reach. Since I like that one, this one also grabs my attention. —S331 (COMMission LogProfile) 11:40, 6 September 2012 (EDT)

Did they really had to change it? It was already perfect :( --ShadowDancer |contribs| 07:13, 13 September 2012 (EDT)
Its a shame, isn't it? --TentacleTornado 12:22, 13 September 2012 (EDT)
I don't really like EVA all that much. I feel it makes you an easy target for snipers.--Spartacus, Halopedia Administrator Talk 14:33, 17 September 2012 (EDT)

True... GMASTER 22:44, 23 September 2012 (EDT)

Halo 3 version of this helmet has always been my favourite, but this is a close second. Reach just looks like an astronaut's helmet or a fishbowl with blue visor on. It seems to me the EVA was made to look like SPI, though, which isn't a bad thing, all things said.Fairfieldfencer FFF 07:34, 19 October 2012 (EDT)

Eh, wasn't really a fan of the EVA; reminded me too much of the Meta from Red vs. Blue....Yoonhyuk-740 18:12, 30 November 2012 (EST)

FOTUS

The helmet looks similar to the Promethean Knights. Don't understand the large spike on top; just seems like an armor for asethetic purposes. Pretty much makes you look like a knight.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

This armor reminds me of the Hayabusa instead. It looks cool but impractical. Is the spike for head-butting enemies? That would be quite useful. —S331 (COMMission LogProfile) 06:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)

Reminds me of Megatron.. Like the Promethean knights do. What purpose could that spike possibly serve? Headbutting? An advanced aerial? --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
Never thought of that. It would be hilarious if they actually had an assassination specifically for this armor that involved spiking someone from behind. Never know...--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:33, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
I like the notion that this suit is reverse-engineered from Forerunner tech, probably Promethean Knights. However, the spike on top is simply annoying. It's like 343 Industries decided to mar the quality of an otherwise awesome helmet for the sake of continuing their running unicorn gag. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
I would prefer it if the spike was swept back, but again, it would still be not that practical. --TentacleTornado 15:01, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
I just found out that this armor isn't canon; here's a Ducain23 video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zrciso63AmY&feature=g-all-u
Manufacturer: 343 Industries
Info: Tested in the rough and tumble streets of downtown Kirkland, Washington. Missing Mandible 09:58, 5 September 2012 (EDT)
Yes, it most likely is canon. Why would they put armor in the game if it isn't canon? It makes no sense. Furthermore, the article itself states that the description for FOTUS is definitely a pun and should not be taken seriously.--Spartacus, Halopedia Administrator Talk 13:57, 6 September 2012 (EDT)

Kinda has an sangheili feel to it for me, seems like something they would use at one point, but that could just be me.GMASTER 22:46, 23 September 2012 (EDT)

I don't want to wear that helmet anytime soon. All I want to know is if you can stick that horn with a plasma. If so, then I'm aiming for it everytime I throw a sticky and when I do it, I'm gonna yell "MAGIC UNICORN!"Fairfieldfencer FFF 07:43, 19 October 2012 (EDT)

You know why that spike is stiking out of the head? Because 343 just murdered a helmet. This is craZboy557, signing off. 20:03, 7 November 2012 (EST)

This would be the best helmet in the game if it wasn't for the unicorn reference with the spike Flavius Aetius 17:00, 10 November 2012 (EST)

GUNGNIR

Looks similar to the one from Reach.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

I hope it stays like the one in Reach, its nice to have another helmet that looks similar to its previous iteration. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
I like how this one isn't as boxy as the Mark V version. It isn't as bland as the original. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

I like the Pulse variant. Bioniclepluslotr 23:04, 17 September 2012 (EDT)

This one's a definite improvement, in my opinion.Fairfieldfencer FFF 07:44, 19 October 2012 (EDT)

I definitely love the chest piece, but the helmet is a step backward from Reach. It's too rounded now and it looks just like every other helmet. There's not enough contrast between the frontal "visor" box and the rest of the helmet.--FluffyEmoPenguin(ice quack!) 13:30, 18 December 2013 (EST)

HAZOP

Kinda fits its name better than the previous iteration.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

Oh, dear. I liked the one in Reach, although this helmet looks like it more suits its original purpose. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
Like Tentacletornado said, the GEN2 version of the HAZOP helmet looks better suited to its role than the Mark V version. This one is appropriately reminiscent of a gas mask. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

I suppose it looks alright, I mean it isn't great, but then it isn't bad either. --GMASTER 19:49, 24 September 2012 (EDT)

With the more detailed picture, to me it looks kinda hard, the camo and what-not.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 19:53, 22 October 2012 (EDT)

Growing on me. Like lots of the other helmets though, it looks like it's sad. This is craZboy557, signing off. 20:04, 7 November 2012 (EST)

Infiltrator

The helmet just looks menacing and screams ugly...or scary. Fits the name.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

I'm not sure if I like this or not. I would prefer it if it had a real visor. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
As seen in the PAX Prime video, this one has too many lights around the "jaw" to seem like a proper stealth helmet. It's too round, as well. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

So, the function of this one is to help you infiltrate into the enemy territory and scare the hell out of your enemies? If not, why does it look like that? xD?--ShadowDancer |contribs| 14:52, 10 September 2012 (EDT)

Obviously this helmet simply got hit very hard in the head. This is craZboy557, signing off. 20:05, 7 November 2012 (EST)

Locus

Another armor that looks menacing. Also looks similar to the GUNGNIR helmet, with no visor. Kinda looks like a human skull.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

This one is pretty scary, it must be the replacement for EVA[C]. This is one I'll be avoiding. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
I bet this helmet is great at demoralizing Innies. The skull theme reminds me of Emile's helmet. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

Looks creepy, but yet intrigues me with its design, i guess it's one of those helmets that i guess could be usable.--GMASTER 19:53, 24 September 2012 (EDT)

I remember during E3 or one of the demos there was a version of this that had a line down the middle. Ah, I wonder whatever happened to that... REACHSURVIVES

There's usually a lot of things that change between any demos and the final build of the game.--Spartacus TalkContribs 17:51, 5 December 2013 (EST)

Mark V

I'll add a pic of the whole armor set when it becomes available.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 09:00, 7 July 2013 (EDT)

I'm happy to see this being brought into the game. We finally have pouches and a waist band, the later being something that was missing with most, if not all the GEN2 armor sets (which I don't like as it looks silly to me).--Killamint [Comm|Files] 09:00, 7 July 2013 (EDT)

I'm happy it's finally back as well. The only faults I can find with it are the boots, which look ridiculous. Other than that, I'm quite happy with the way it looks, and it is a welcome addition. --TentacleTornado 09:35, 7 July 2013 (EDT)

I'm still bitter about 343's redesign of the Mk V (and how they made a really hard-to-swallow canon explanation for it). The chest piece looks atrocious. Why change the chest piece so drastically from the original Halo: CE version when everything else is a near clone? The boots also look corny. Still, I'm not complaining about how the rest of it looks. I'm just kinda mad that 343 decided to go back to the retro look rather than tweaking the look of the Reach version.--FluffyEmoPenguin(ice quack!) 13:37, 18 December 2013 (EST)

I completely agree. I still think the original, vanilla Halo CE Mark V is quite possibly the most beautiful suit of power armor ever designed and no redesign since has done it proper justice. Reach came close but Anniversary took it too far away from the original, especially the chest piece. The concave parts completely change the feel of the original design. This image gives some idea as to what a high-detail rendering of the original design might've looked like. Alas, we might never see that one realized. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 14:37, 18 December 2013 (EST)
I agree with both of you. What got me was the visor, mainly how smooth it looked compared to the original Halo: CE. Overall Bungie did a much better job with designing Mjolnir armor in general. 343i just went buckwild with all the armor designs as you can tell by the silly helmet designs and, the way the armor looks like nothing more than a skin suit with armor pieces attached to it. Just poor artistry. I was looking at the images posted from the Escalation comic, and Fireteam Bailey & Fireteam Jackknife look like a bunch of toy soldiers. Its just so unrealistic to me.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 16:55, 18 December 2013 (EST)

Mark VI

Simply a classic. However its gotten old to me. I rather have the upgraded variant.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 09:05, 18 September 2012 (EDT)

Again, like with Commando, the changes made seem to have made it worse rather than better. This is really unfortunate, it was always one of the best-looking helmets in the game. Too many changes for my liking. Also, have you guys seen the body armour? It has the caption of Mk VI, but looks only vaguely like it. More like a cameo than a canon version. Anyway, John's upgraded Mk VI looks a hell of a lot better than this pseudo-Mk VI --TentacleTornado 16:19, 18 September 2012 (EDT)
Out of curiosity, do u think Master Chief's armor in the campaign will be the Mark VI in multiplayer or not? User:Yoonhyuk-740
I think it's the same. Why would 343 make two different "kinds" of the same armor? Mark 6 looks ok to me, Mark 5 should have also been included imo--ShadowDancer |contribs| 15:32, 21 September 2012 (EDT)
The helmet is almost the same, but the changes to it have made it a little worse for my liking. It would have been nice to have it pretty much exactly the same, but with a graphical overhaul, a little continuity never hurt anyone. Anyway heres a link to see the rest of "Mk VI", sorry for not making it clear. The new, upgraded Mk VI will most probably not be in multiplayer, if 343 still wants its "multiplayer canon". Mk V would have beeen nice, it was always one of the best looking helmets. --TentacleTornado 16:13, 21 September 2012 (EDT)

Oceanic

The helmet reminds me of the "Big daddy's" helmets from Bioshock.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

Another one I'll be avoiding. The helmet fits the name, it reminds me of the old diver helmets. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
It really looks like an old school diving helmet, so the name is appropriate. The huge faceplate makes sense, given that it's designed for underwater operations. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

The question is: is the old-school diving helmet really necessary or is it just cosmetics? Bioniclepluslotr!

Cosmetics, but it just makes it look stupid. This is craZboy557, signing off. 20:06, 7 November 2012 (EST)

I dunno, this armor's helmet kind of reminds of the helmet headgear baseball catchers and sword-fighting fencers would wear. --Xamikaze330 [Transmission|Commencing] 17:03, 22 August 2013 (EDT)Xamikaze330

The helmet not only looks weird, but doesn't make sense. Why have those reinforcing bars to protect the visor from breaking in the deep ocean when you could simply use a visorless helmet with a camera feed like the Gungnir or Protector helmet?--FluffyEmoPenguin(ice quack!) 13:41, 18 December 2013 (EST)

ODST

I'll add a pic of the whole armor set when it becomes available.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 09:00, 7 July 2013 (EDT)

Not much to say but we finally will get some ODST armor. Wonder what the ODST and Recruit armor will look like side by side.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 09:00, 7 July 2013 (EDT)

Like with Mark V, it is a welcome addition. 4 lacking the armour in the beginning was a huge let down, but now, it seems to be one of these cases where 343i have listened to the community. Can't wait to wear it. --TentacleTornado 09:35, 7 July 2013 (EDT)

HAHAHAHAHAAHHHAHAHHHHAHAHH!H!!H!!HH!H!!!!!! YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES!!! Always use the DMR. This is craZboy557, signing off. 12:23, 7 July 2013 (EDT)

Never been better! Though I would probably be better if it looked less mediocre, admmittedly. Always use the DMR. This is craZboy557, signing off. 07:16, 9 July 2013 (EDT)

Goddamnit, it still looks like mega bloks...... why... why....? Ok, so maybe don't always use the DMR anymore. That two shot-melee is pretty good. This is craZboy557, signing off. 18:27, 20 August 2013 (EDT)

What do you mean?--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:05, 20 August 2013 (EDT)
This and all the other new armors are oddly smooth, and look especially wierd next to all the other complex armors in Halo 4. Makes them look like toys. Ok, so maybe don't always use the DMR anymore. That two shot-melee is pretty good. This is craZboy557, signing off. 18:17, 22 August 2013 (EDT)
That's because back then the armor had a more simplistic design (got that from the armor description for the Mk.V helmet in H4), was practical looking, and looked more militaristic. The new age stuff is overly detailed in my opinion and just plain ugly (most of the helmets anyway). I'm just glad they brought back the Mk. V. I'm rocking that for my spartan in H4.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 22:00, 22 August 2013 (EDT)

Orbital

Pretty much the EVA armor except with different aesthetic features to the visor.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

I like this one, but then again I liked EVA. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
This one is reminiscent of the Mark V EVA helmet. I like how the AEON skin is a tribute to Emile, showing that NOBLE Team's legacy extends to more than just a statue. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
Wait, doesn't this look similar to Kelly's helmet in Halo: Legends? --TentacleTornado 15:01, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

The AEON looks like someone stuck a skull sticker on the guy's forehead. Not a fan. Bioniclepluslotr 23:06, 17 September 2012 (EDT)

Noticed that, but it'd also be weird if they included that design on other EVA-style helmets. And I'm just being hypothetical, of course they wouldn't put EVA(C) style designs on all those helmets.--GMASTER 23:08, 23 September 2012 (EDT)

But why do we need a skull helmet? Bioniclepluslotr 10:42, 25 October 2012 (EDT)

Operator

Kinda looks similar to the commando armor from Reach. Looks alright; I'd rock it.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

I liked Operator in Reach, but this is completely different. Not for me I'm afraid. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
Despite the name, this is definitely not meant to be the helmet as used by the Asymmetrical Action Group. It reminds me of the helmets that Pelican and Hornet pilots wear in Halo 3.—This unsigned comment was made by Braidenvl (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~
Yeah, I can see that. Also makes me think that it's half Reach Commando, half Reach Security.Fairfieldfencer FFF 07:48, 19 October 2012 (EDT)

Pathfinder

The helmet looks somewhat similar to the deadspace helmet. Also the boots look a lil funny to me.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

This is nice. If only it had a real visor. This is one I could see myself wearing. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
I like this helmet's design and canonical function. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
I'm surprised that no one has said anything about how it looks like the Cylons in the original Battlestar Galactica.Missing Mandible 20:40, 4 September 2012 (EDT)
Pathfinders torso, in my square opinion, loosely resembles the Mark IV, but that frilly collar design makes it rather unappealing

SpartanS36 (talk) 19:34, 20 April 2013 (EDT)

Pioneer

The helmet looks Forerunner-ish, almost like the UNSC got its design from Forerunner elements. Just looks weird.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

Oh, dear God. I can't really see anyone wearing this. Maybe its the purple, but this looks like a joint UNSC-Covenant effort (I'd usually be happy about this, but this is just ugly). --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
At least this one looks functional. The fact that it was used by the first teams to land on Installation 03 increases its appeal for me. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

Are those two visors? wtf? This is craZboy557, signing off. 20:07, 7 November 2012 (EST)

Prefect

I'll add a pic of the whole armor set when it becomes available.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 09:00, 7 July 2013 (EDT)

There's not much I can say for now, but from a preliminary standpoint it looks okay but somewhat silly with the tiny visor. Basically the Vanguard helmet without the non-changeable visor.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 09:00, 7 July 2013 (EDT)

It does look a little odd with the strange helmet and "toe-spikes". However, the rest of it looks wonderful. I am definitely going to be wearing its chest-plate come 20th August. It does really remind me of this concept art for combat skin. --TentacleTornado 09:35, 7 July 2013 (EDT)

I'll be honest, I like this one. Nice and sleek. Got kind of a Forerunner look. Always use the DMR. This is craZboy557, signing off. 07:12, 9 July 2013 (EDT)

Protector

I'll add a pic of the helmet when it becomes available.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 16:43, 8 September 2012 (EDT)

Not sure what to make of it. I'm not even sure if I like it or not.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 13:06, 18 September 2012 (EDT)
Nah, not for me really. If it had a larger visor it would have been considered. --TentacleTornado 16:19, 18 September 2012 (EDT)
I think I see where this design went. If you look closely at the helmets midsection, it looks like Unggoy atmospheric masks from Reach, just an idea... --SpartanS36 (talk) 21:05, 7 August 2013 (EDT)
I see what you mean but its a vague resemblance. Still, the helmet just looks stupid, overly detailed, and the armor itself is just pointless IMO. In fact, like Tentacle said, if that cover piece was actually a visor, it would look okay.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 16:57, 10 August 2013 (EDT)

Raider

I'll add a pic of the helmet when it becomes available.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 16:43, 8 September 2012 (EDT)

One word...Ugly. Kinda looks like it has ears. I need a pic of it without the armor skin so I can get a better look of it.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 16:37, 10 September 2012 (EDT)
This is kinda bad.. Reminds me of a samurai, so I guess its the replacement for Hayabusa. --TentacleTornado 17:21, 10 September 2012 (EDT)

Yeah, it does look like a reincarnation of Hayabusa, but like all the other helmets, this one is scary, must be effective at scaring away grunts with that brute growler face on it. XD--GMASTER 19:58, 24 September 2012 (EDT)

This looks like it was made for every guy that made a Halo spoof of a Batman trailer.Fairfieldfencer FFF 07:49, 19 October 2012 (EDT)

Ranger

I'll add a pic of the helmet when it becomes available.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 16:43, 8 September 2012 (EDT)

Looks strikingly similar to the EOD variant. Basically a copy with a similar purpose. Nonetheless it looks straight.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 13:06, 18 September 2012 (EDT)
Like with Strider, it seems redundant since we already have EOD. Anyway, its not that great really. --TentacleTornado 16:19, 18 September 2012 (EDT)

Kinda gives off a Frankenstein feel to it for me.--GMASTER 20:00, 24 September 2012 (EDT)

Recon

Unchanged from Halo 3 or Reach, for the most part. Another favorite choice of mines.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

I'm very happy that this has remained unchanged. This was always the best looking helmet. I'd be overjoyed to wear this. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
Can I haz reconz? Anyway, I'm glad they brought this helmet back and I'll be using it, since it's my favorite.--Spartacus (Talk | Contribs) 12:33, 31 August 2012 (EDT)
My favorite Recon variant is the Mark V. This one is too similar to the Mark VI for my taste. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
Agreed, I actually have that helmet equipped with my Spartan character in Halo: Reach.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 12:43, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
I like the blend of the Mk V and VI in this recon, I haven't stopped wearing recon since I pre-ordered Halo: Reach. You can never have too much recon! --TentacleTornado 15:01, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
No. I've had a proper look at it here. Definitely a step down from both Reach and 3 in my opinion. --TentacleTornado 17:43, 10 September 2012 (EDT)

Frequently solid, but it's never been my main one. This is craZboy557, signing off. 21:51, 30 November 2012 (EST)

Recruit

Overall, my favorite armor to date. To me, it seems the most relevant to Mjolnir armor and maintains that classic "Spartan" look.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

This armor reminds me of marine pilot helmet you see in Halo 3. It's more traditional for the Spartan armor. I would choose to have this one as my Spartan's armor. —S331 (COMMission LogProfile) 06:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)

I will most probably wear this, probably because it is the one of the most like Mk VI armour we've seen. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)

I like the "classic" design. At least some of the SPARTAN-IVs in the campaign will wear this helmet, which is cool. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
It reminds me of the Mark IV in the Halo Wars reveal trailer, especially in the top section. I always liked that helmet, and wished they hadn't just gone with a safer but more generic Mark V-esque version. -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 21:03, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
Speaking of GEN1 series... Found this gem when I was redditing. Looks like Rooster Teeth won't have problem with RVB then. :P —S331 (COMMission LogProfile) 22:12, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

Interesting, good thing I pre-ordered the Limited edition, incidentally. This is my favorite armor, and just as said before, it does keep that "classic feel". Maybe I'll just keep it white, or just change it to Black, IDK.--GMASTER 10:06, 17 September 2012 (EDT)

Looks like we no longer have to pre-order the LE to get it- just the skin for it. Someone goofed.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 12:08, 20 September 2012 (EDT)

Yeah I noticed that. But hey, we live and learn don't we, or we never get past the first level on legendary. XD GMASTER 23:00, 23 September 2012 (EDT)

Since this helmet is the closest looking to ODST, I'm gonna slap this on with default blue visor and go all black/gray with look-alike ODST parts. I've been doing this every game I could.--Ender the Xenocide 07:39, 19 October 2012 (EDT)

ODST came to my mind too. It also seems like they took the default helmet from Reach and squashed it a little.Fairfieldfencer FFF 07:53, 19 October 2012 (EDT)

Ricochet

I'll add a pic of the whole armor set when it becomes available.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 09:00, 7 July 2013 (EDT)

Basically a fun armor set to wear.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 09:00, 7 July 2013 (EDT)

Hmm... It seems that multiplayer canon has been thrown out of the window. An armour based on American football padding? I'm not sure what to think of that. But it does look nice. Just not my cup of tea I'm afraid. --TentacleTornado 09:35, 7 July 2013 (EDT)

And I thought FOTUS was a bad armour design. This affirms my belief that 343i can no longer produce good armour design. What's next? A MJOLNIR/Baseball variant? :/ — subtank 06:35, 8 July 2013 (EDT)

Lol You're not the only one who thought the armor designs aren't good (let-alone Halo 4 in general). Yeah it seems as though 343i is creating whatever they want out of halo (as well as changing whatever they want) without it making any logical sense. Hopefully the Ricochet armor is restricted to just that gametype.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 12:47, 8 July 2013 (EDT)

It could be worse, but if the flavor text says that it's based on football padding in-universe, I'm going to get a lobotomy. Always use the DMR. This is craZboy557, signing off. 07:11, 9 July 2013 (EDT)

Believe it or not, this is more a sign of 343 listening to the fans than doing whatever they want. Every time there were threads on the forums talking about armour designs people wanted to see, one of the most common ones was one based on American football attire. That's basically what the new stuff boils down to. People wanted a blank, flat Forge space, and trees, they gave us Forge Island. people wanted the Pit, they're giving us Pitfall. People wanted ODST and Mark V back, they're doing it. People have been asking for armour based on that Forerunner warrior concept art since it was released and they're doing that to. Halo 4 had a lot of issues, no one is going to argue that, not even 343. They know there were problems and everything they've done this year has basically come down to showing people they're listening.--Soul reaper (talk) 05:09, 21 July 2013 (EDT)

I agree that 343i is "now" listening to the fans, but it comes as too little too late. And most of the changes I'm seeing only seem to apply to "wargames" and nowhere else. Not everyone bought Halo 4 just for wargames. Some people rather play campaign and SpOps. 343i didn't bring back some of those features that would've made campaign (and spartan-ops) much more re-playable and kept a high player base, despite demand for them. There's still no scoring, campaign theater (explanation for this but they had 3 years & 200+ employees to figure it out), elites as playable characters, mm for campaign, firefight, and even gametypes such as 1-flag CTF (I hate 2-flag). The early drop-off in players is a sign that Halo 4 was not up to Halo standards. It was more of a regression and experiment (i.e. new gameplay mechanics like player progression systems). I must take note that Halo: Spartan Assault rectifies many mistakes that 343i made, such as the covie species, weapons, weapon sounds, vehicles (i.e. hornet), and scoring.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 08:00, 21 July 2013 (EDT)
I'll hold back from derailing this topic with my own feelings but I will briefly stay this. The development surrounding Halo 4 is unprecedented. To build a studio from scratch and make a game at the same is uncommon to say the least, to have that game possess such a deadline and be a huge triple A title only compounds the issues. There's no doubt the game could have been better, and was not up to scratch with series standards, but that's what happens when you try to make a studio's first game be their biggest. Microsoft really forced to much onto 343 and created a lot of issues for them. Personally, I was disappointed with a number of aspects of the game, but I think when you take 343's situation fully into account, it's clear they did a pretty impressive job. There are many things fans say that, while I may disagree with, I still hold as valid opinions, and then others that just same like they're looking for issues where they really don't exist.--Soul reaper (talk) 09:58, 21 July 2013 (EDT)
Well let's put it this way. I give 343i an A for effort but a C for execution. In other words, its a good game but not a good "Halo" game. As far as Microsoft goes, I do believe they inhibited 343i somewhat and enforced a lot on them (online pass for SpOps). Who knows? Maybe that's why Bungie split. Couldn't take Microsoft's shit anymore.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 11:02, 21 July 2013 (EDT)
I get that. A for effort is definitely deserved. I'd give campaign an A too but that's just me. Microsoft has certainly become far more controlling over the years. Halo Wars was the start but Spartan Ops is where it took a huge turn for the worst, I rallied against the online passes for months and it, combined with MS' desires for the next generation is what is making me doubt that I'll continue with the games. I just read Silentium and while I love the universe, there's only so much I can put up with. Honestly, after Frankie said they spent about 4 years developing it and didn't have their full team until after launch I felt a little sick.--Soul reaper (talk) 11:08, 21 July 2013 (EDT)
Actually, it is the reason why Bungie split. But let's save that for another thread. Back on topic: 343i needs to add in a football jersey armour. :) — subtank 11:10, 21 July 2013 (EDT)
IKR...
If they do a jersey, they could make it into a skin. Who knows, could be similar to the seahawks.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 11:23, 21 July 2013 (EDT)

Rogue

Nice, straightforward armor to rock. Adds a twist to the large visor by making it square instead of rounded. Although I think it would make head shots easier.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

This armor is like the Pilot armor from Reach, but angular. Probably my second favorite. —S331 (COMMission LogProfile) 06:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)

Very similar to Pilot, not for me really. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)

At first I assumed that this was an all-new helmet with the same name as the Vestol Corporation's model. However, its armory description states that it is the same helmet, albeit drastically redesigned. It looks like a more intimidating EVA or Orbital helmet to me. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
That's a shame. I was hoping for a late release of the original Rogue, possibly with Hayabusa (That would appeal to many fans). --TentacleTornado 15:01, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

They should have given it a different name, since it doesn't resemble the original Rogue in any way. Bioniclepluslotr 23:08, 17 September 2012 (EDT)

Scanner

Screams Star Wars to me...Makes it kinda hard to peak around corners.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

I don't mind this one. I could see myself wearing it. Although it does just look like someone just strapped binoculars to someones helmet. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
It looks like a Spartan glued a CD-ROM drive to his helmet. I hope this one never made it past the concept art phase. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
Hahaha.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 12:43, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
Oh, dear.. -Cannot be unseen- --TentacleTornado 15:01, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
Ha, come on people, it's the 2550s already. Technology is insanely advanced by then. I bet not only can we slide CDs into that, but even floppy disks. —S331 (COMMission LogProfile) 22:12, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

The upper part seems to weight more than UNSC Forward unto dawn and Johnson's cigars together. Those who wear the helmet must have really strong necks :P --ShadowDancer |contribs| 15:29, 10 September 2012 (EDT)

Looks interesting, yet not very practical for a helmet. Would be fun though if one could shoot it off like the grunt's old methane masks.--GMASTER 20:03, 24 September 2012 (EDT)

Scout

Nothing much to say about it other than it hasn't changed much from Halo 3.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

Scout is my favorite helmet in Halo 3, but the one in Halo: Reach is (sorry Jun) hideous. This one resembles the one from Halo 3, but is still not pretty in my opinion. —S331(COMMission LogProfile) 06:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
I like all the ones that appear from previous games, and this is no exception. I've always liked scout, even its Reach iteration, and it is one I will probably wear. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
I definitely prefer the Mark V version, which has a nice combination of design elements from Halo 3's Recon and Scout helmets. This one is identical to the Mark VI, which also looks really good, just not as good. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

I think the helmet looks hideous now. Not a fan of the duck shape. It looks even worse to me than the Halo 3 version since it has these odd connections to the main faceplate. I definitely preferred the Mk V version in Reach.--FluffyEmoPenguin(ice quack!) 13:52, 18 December 2013 (EST)

Soldier

Helmet is kinda ugly, in a menacing sort of way.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

Another I will avoid. It would probably look better with a larger visor, but that's just my opinion. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
This one looks menacing and practical. From what I understand, this is actually a starter helmet. I'll play my first few War Games sessions and Spartan Ops missions with Recruit, (which makes sense canonically), but I'll definitely use this one after leveling up a few ranks. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

Looks nice, but in a scary and menacing sort of way.--GMASTER 20:05, 24 September 2012 (EDT)

Reminds me of Starscream from the movies--Ender the Xenocide 07:39, 19 October 2012 (EDT)

Stalker

Just plain ugly to me.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

Not the best. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
The fact that this helmet is a ripoff of Brute Stalker tech is pretty cool. The helmet's background really shows in its design. From a head-on view it reminds me of a cobra with its hood flared. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
I actually thought it was a descendant of the basic Mark V helmet that the Chief used to wear - the flares over the visor gave me that impression. It doesn't help that it's entirely green, not allowing us to see much detail. -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 21:06, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

Why are there so many f***ing faces on these helmets?! This is craZboy557, signing off. 15:53, 10 November 2012 (EST)

Strider

Don't understand the purpose of this helmet. Kinda looks like the pilot helmet.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

This is pretty ugly. Just looks like an elongated EVA. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
This one seems redundant given that EVA, Orbital, and even the redesigned Rogue are already in the game. Like Scanner, I haven't seen proof that this one ever made it past the concept phase. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
From the side, it reminds me of the Reach Security helmet.Fairfieldfencer FFF 07:54, 19 October 2012 (EDT)

Tracker

Definitely fits its description. Seems like the "scanners" on the front of the helmet are blocking the visor.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

Looks like Air Assault with 3 LED lights attached to me, it will probably grow on me though. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
Practicality: good. Aesthetics: bad. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

Must be able to track well with built-in flashlights for a face I suppose--GMASTER 20:10, 24 September 2012 (EDT)

Might be an omage to the Pfor from marathon. (someone fix pfor for me, pretty sure I typoed, then delete the parentheses)

Vanguard

Vanguard looks good, but it doesn't stay in the frame long enough to get a clear look. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

It doesn't stay on frame long enough because the "rushing" dude didn't bother to let the Spartan look back towards the front. We need Halopedians at these events (1 recording the video, 1 playing the game) so that we can get better footage. But then again, he may not have had time, since I believe the games are started whether a player is ready or not (considering the length of the lines).--Killamint [Comm|Files] 12:43, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
I overall like this, I hope (When we get a better view of it) the visor stretches all around, not just the square in the centre. --TentacleTornado 15:01, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
Well thats a shame. It would have looked alright. --TentacleTornado 17:43, 10 September 2012 (EDT)

Venator

Pretty much will make you look like a power ranger. The helmet looks similar to the ones from deadspace. Being that this is concept art, I assume it'll look different from the release.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

The helmet is very similar to the one on Dead Space, although I may use the body armour. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
This one looks awesome and is not-too-subtly taken from Dead Space. It would be really cool if the armory description mentioned "action against the Flood on Gamma Halo" or something of the like, which would make the shout out that much better. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
I'll cross that out since I replaced the image. That would've been funny. It looks better without the "Best Buy" colors.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 12:43, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

Looks cool, in a sci-fi sort of way. This is one I would use.--GMASTER 20:12, 24 September 2012 (EDT)

Hey! What's wrong with looking like a power ranger? :P -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 02:52, 25 September 2012 (EDT)

I take that back, that concept art made it look just like a power ranger. It actually looks okay from this new image. I still wouldn't choose it though. I like more generic looks, especially the Recruit armor. Not trying to look "Hard".--Killamint [Comm|Files] 19:44, 25 September 2012 (EDT)
I agree, I'm really starting to like this, the body that is, I'm still not too fond of the helmet. Its a shame that the skin is only available in certain retailers. --TentacleTornado 14:13, 27 September 2012 (EDT)
Although I don't like the deadspace style helmet, I like the other pieces for their resemblance to Combat Skin. Flavius Aetius 17:03, 10 November 2012 (EST)

War Master

It's a canonical version of the Haunted helmet. What's not to like? --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

I didn't notice that! It does have the Haunted look embedded in it's design.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 12:43, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
Nah, not for me. I'm not too fond of these scary looking helmets. --TentacleTornado 15:01, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

Warrior

The mouth covering looks similar to Optimus Prime's. Nonetheless, this is my all-time second favorite armor.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

When the first images came out of multiplayer, this armour got me worrying. Its not the best armour here in my opinion. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
Since this is the default S-IV helmet, I'll wear it at some point. I like the functional design, but it isn't the best-looking MJOLNIR helmet. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
It's been confirmed somewhere that it's not default. Bioniclepluslotr 23:11, 17 September 2012 (EDT)
The default armor is pretty much the Recruit variant. I believe the Warrior variant was used to show off the new GEN2 armor.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 09:16, 18 September 2012 (EDT)
The Recruit armor, unfortunately, is only for players who purchased limited edition. But if this is the default, I'm somewhat disappointed. —S331 (COMMission LogProfile) 09:24, 18 September 2012 (EDT)
My theory: The Recruit is default "canon-wise", while the Warrior is default "gameplay-wise". I wonder if its possible to transfer/copy the Recruit armor (or any other exclusive armor/skins) to another gamertag without that person having purchased the LE...--Killamint [Comm|Files] 10:38, 18 September 2012 (EDT)

Correction, the Recruit armor is available in-game without having to purchase the LE. I just re-read the bulletin & latest bulletin and someone got it confused. Its the skin for the Recruit armor that's exclusive, NOT the armor set!--Killamint [Comm|Files] 09:01, 20 September 2012 (EDT)

And the fans rejoiced. —S331 (COMMission LogProfile) 10:41, 20 September 2012 (EDT)

This helmet has a nice feel to it, could be one of my alternates in the game. GMASTER 22:56, 23 September 2012 (EDT)

Reach EOD without a gas mask to ruin it. This is probably what I'll be wearing.Fairfieldfencer FFF 08:01, 19 October 2012 (EDT)

Definitely my favorite armor this time around. The helmet is so very fitting for a Halo game. I honestly wish this was the default instead of having Recruit armor exist.--FluffyEmoPenguin(ice quack!) 13:52, 18 December 2013 (EST)

Wetwork

The visor running down the center of the helmet is just plain weird. Definitely not your normal looking armor. Obviously, its for aesthetics.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 20:30, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

Why does this remind me of Gundam? Its pretty weird if you ask me. --TentacleTornado 11:09, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
This one looks nice. The sleek yet angular lines remind me of a praying mantis. --Courage never dies. 10:15, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
When coupled with a black paint scheme & a red visor (based on the PAX video) it looks kinda tight I admit.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 12:43, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
This is starting to grow on me now, its not that bad, in helmet and in armour. --TentacleTornado 17:06, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

Agree with KillaMint on this one, would use either that color-scheme or black and white.--GMASTER 20:13, 24 September 2012 (EDT)

What's Missing

What do you think of the armours that have been left out? I'll admit, I didn't expect them to bring the entirety of the Halo 3 or Reach Armoury back, and so far we have one from Halo 2 (Mark VI), four from Halo 3 and five from Halo: Reach returning, but I do think they definitely missed out some classics. CQB and ODST to name a couple, but the most surprising of all is Mark V. I don't wear it myself, but that is the classic helmet. Caboose in RvB will never be the same again.Fairfieldfencer FFF 07:22, 19 October 2012 (EDT)

I was sorta hoping for a straight up legit Mark IV helmet at least. I mean I want to see how it would look in a mainline game. I have no problem with the Halo Wars armor (I actually like it a lot) and I do think Halsey's schematic is probably the most "aesthetically linear, progression-wise" (idk). I think the Cole Protocol version is neat, but I do not like the look of the Halo Legends, and now H4:FUD, one. I mean, it looks like the outside artist who made it didn't care for "aesthetic linearity" and just wanted it to be immediately recognizable to the majority and to people only slightly familiar with Halo. Why did FUD have to go with that one!? I just saw the HW mark iv in an H4 trailer and it looked awesome. That version would have been way better and way cooler and not to mention 'more' canon. I guess they decided against it because of it's mobility issues (the shoulder joints seem kinda restricted)? But with small adjustments that's no problem. Anyway, sorry about the Mark IV rant... it would be sweet to see the line of IV, V, VI, and maybe even VII all in one game together.--Ender the Xenocide 08:14, 19 October 2012 (EDT)
There are bound to be Mk. IV variants. The one from Halo Legends is more likely (To me atleast) a variant of Halo Wars', or vice versa.Missing Mandible 10:10, 19 October 2012 (EDT)
I understand that there are variants, and I do in fact like how it varies and evolves over time. I do not, however, like the Legends variant for the reasons above.--Ender the Xenocide 01:40, 20 October 2012 (EDT)
The first-generation (Halo Wars) version is my favorite; I really wish that it appeared in Forward Unto Dawn since it was canonically the first model to be issued. However, the game might as well just feature the Mark V, since the Mark V helmet is just an upgrade of the Mark IV. I would like to see the third-generation Mark IV helmet (the Cole Protocol version), which is the basis of the Grenadier variant. I agree with everyone else that the ODST helmet should be in the game. I wish the Commando helmet looked more like its Mark V counterpart. I'd like the Mark VII to appear and/or to be identified as such. Otherwise, I'm generally quite happy with the game's selection of helmets. --Courage never dies. 02:31, 20 October 2012 (EDT)
Something tells me that there are more armors than what has been revealed. I mean, why spoiler all the selections for us? We might see an ODST one or something else that wasn't shown.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 19:53, 22 October 2012 (EDT)

I think they should've carried the Hayabusa armor on over to this. :/--Parax 18:46, 30 November 2012 (EST)

They so need ODST! This is craZboy557, signing off. 21:54, 30 November 2012 (EST)

Looks like you got your wish...--Killamint [Comm|Files] 09:00, 7 July 2013 (EDT)

There's images here and here for the full armours, though they're not the best quality. Oh, well. :D --TentacleTornado 09:35, 7 July 2013 (EDT)

Honestly the only armor set that I missed was the halo reach Security. IDK why, I just like the sleekness of the reach iteration. NOT the halo 3 one. That is too bulky. REACHSURVIVES
