Hey, Karen Traviss. I loved the Kilo-Five trilogy, especially Mortal Dictata, but I have some questions about the novel if you don't mind.

1) What is "Dryad", mentioned on page 247? Possibly a planet or moon?
2) Does the Venezian militia have an official name?
3) Is Dal'koth a moon or asteroid orbiting Chu'ot?
4) What class of prowler is the Port Stanley? Eclipse, Razor, Sahara, or Winter?
5) Is there official designations for the Kig-Yar shuttle or missionary ship?
6) Does Venezia have any moons?
7) Who is on the cover of Glasslands? Is that Mal and 'Telcam?
8) What continent on Sanghelios is Ontom and Mdama located on?
9) Did you have any other ideas that you had to cut out of the novels due to time and book-length related restrictions?

That's all, thank you for your time! Please feel free to skip any question you'd rather not answer. Thanks again!

Hi NightHammer. I'm not sure I've got the answers to many of these, I'm afraid. Basically, if a detail isn't necessary for the story, I leave it out.

1) What is "Dryad", mentioned on page 247? Possibly a planet or moon?

Planet.

2) Does the Venezian militia have an official name?

Probably not. They'd probably just say "the militia."

3) Is Dal'koth a moon or asteroid orbiting Chu'ot?

I think it's an asteroid.

4) What class of prowler is the Port Stanley? Eclipse, Razor, Sahara, or Winter?

I didn't decide.

5) Is there official designations for the Kig-Yar shuttle or missionary ship?

No.

6) Does Venezia have any moons?

I don't recall giving it any, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have them.

7) Who is on the cover of Glasslands? Is that Mal and 'Telcam?

Probably Mal, definitely 'Telcam.

8) What continent on Sanghelios is Ontom and Mdama located on?

I didn't decide.

9) Did you have any other ideas that you had to cut out of the novels due to time and book-length related restrictions?

I didn't cut anything, but I there's always a lot that doesn't end up getting written.

Best KT
