Xenoanthropology

Xenoanthropology is the study of extraterrestrial cultures, which is the equivalent field to the study of human cultures known as anthropology. Professor Evan Phillips and Dr. Connor Brien are known practitioners of xenoanthropology.
Evan Phillips is a Sangheili expert and distinguished as being a highly fluent speaker of the Sangheili language.[1] He had the privilege of studying their culture on Sanghelios.[2]
Connor Brien was a skilled linguistic expert who focused his research on the Jiralhanae race. He was studying their social behavior on Beta Gabriel at the time of his capture and death.[3]
Luther Mann has compiled extensive knowledge of Forerunner culture, history and language through his research on Forerunner artifacts and installations and is considered to be the most knowledgeable human in his field.[4] Mann is fluent in the Sangheili language and can even communicate with Huragok.[5]
