W. B. Eton

W. B. Eton was a UNSC colonel.[1] On January 15, 2610, Eton sent a 600 Series security container filled with classified matériel concerning the the actions of SPARTAN Noble Team during the Fall of Reach to his cousin, an ONI Beta-5 Division operative; he had acquired the package after the death of "the old man", with whom he had served in the 2580s. This package inluded the personal journal of Dr. Catherine Halsey, a simulation of Noble Team's final actions, and a 1:53 scale replica of the Reach War Memorial at Hősök tere in New Alexandria on Reach, which had been requested by Ms. Bjarne, the curator of the Museum of Humanity.[2]
Eton suspected that his cousin's interest in the package was due to the latter's participation in Operation: WHITE GLOVE. He remarked that Section 0 had possessed the matériel for quite some time. Eton regarded Halsey as "the one loose end that may never be wrapped up satisfactorily".
Eton told his cousin to either present the container to Ms. Bjarne as a "curious relic" or to give it to someone at "IN". However, Eton noted that the "old guard" might be willing to kill over the contents of the package. Eton trusted his cousin to do "the right thing".[3][4]
