The UNSC Musashi was a UNSC Carrier. The Musashi saw action at the Battle of Reach where it was destroyed while moving to cover the Orbital Defense Platforms. An Energy Projector from a Covenant Assault Carrier severed the Musashi amidship, the aft section's engines still firing upon the bow and was severed from it.[2].
Background
The ship shares its name with the Japanese battleship from the Second World War, holding the title of being one of the largest battleships on the Pacific front, and at the time, along with its sister ship Yamato, held the record for largest gun ever mounted on a battleship. The Musashi was eventually sunk by the fighters and ships of the American task force during the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
