"Phantom" is the name applied to a series of aerospace craft, most of them dropships.
Summary
The Phantom is a type of craft utilized by multiple factions within the Halo universe, including the Covenant and various splinter groups, such as the Banished, the Swords of Sanghelios, and Jul 'Mdama's Covenant. Typically used as a dropship, the Phantom is commonly seen equipped with a heavy plasma cannon at the nose of the craft, and a Class-1 directed energy cannon mounted at each of the Phantom's two side doors.
The Phantom often holds dozens of troops in it's bay, and often is used to deploy as well as supporting troops, as it has armor capable of withstanding any small arms fire, and only being significantly damaged by heavy fire such as the Rocket launcher.
