Halopedia: Timeline is a project page which lists out a timeline of the Halo universe. This page is simply a reference for general events. For detailed information, please refer to the template provided on the right.

The Forerunner Legacy
The Forerunner Legacy[1][note 1], as it was referred to by the Curator, was an era covering events from 10,000,000 BCE to 852 CE. Events covered in this era includes events relating Forerunners such as the rise of the space-faring prehistoric human civilization, the Forerunner-Flood war, the activation of the Halo Array, and the repopulation of the galaxy, and early Covenant history (such as the San'Shyuum Schism, the San'Shyuum-Sangheili War, the formation of the Covenant).
Unknown years
The unknown years cover events between 851 CE and 2079 CE. This includes events such as, in the case of Covenant history, the assimilation of species under the Covenant and in the case of human history, the pre- and early industrialized human history, formations of key nations and empires, the First and Second World Wars, formation of the United Nations, the Cold War, modern history, and the formation of the Unified Earth Government.
Rise of Humanity
The Rise of Humanity[1][note 1], as it was referred to by the Curator, showcases events from the 2080 CE to 2552 CE such as early human space colonies, battles and skirmishes of the Interplanetary War, the reformation of the Unified Earth Government and formation of the United Nations Space Command, the Domus Diaspora, UNSC operations against the rebel/Insurrection forces in the Outer Colonies, the creation of the Spartans and the Human-Covenant War.
End of the War
The End of the War[1][note 1], as it was referred to by the Curator, focuses on the events on 2552 CE, specifically the final events of the Human-Covenant War.
