Template:Ratings The Cygnus System is a Human-controlled system in the Outer Colonies that has not been affected by the Insurrection. [1]

Within its system are two Human colonized worlds. One of which is New Jerusalem, the possible birthplace of Jilan al-Cygni. [2]

Cygnus may be part of the Cygnus constellation.

In real-world astronomy, there are only four stars within the Cygnus constellation within UNSC territory, Epsilon Cygni, which is 72.1 lightyears from Earth, and the three star system 16 Cygni which is 70.5 lightyears from Earth. It is not known which of two is inhabited, or indeed whether both are. There is also the star Gienah, which is 82 lightyears away.[3]
