The automated plasma turret is a Covenant weapon emplacement that is often used to defend prefabricated bases.[1]

Three versions of the turret exist, each of which is successively more durable and has more powerful weaponry. In addition to the standard plasma cannon, each iteration of the turret can be outfitted with a Class-2 Projectile cannon for increased effectiveness against ground vehicles, a plasma mortar for combatting infantry, and a heavy Needler to engage enemy aircraft.
