Cognitive Impression Modeling, also known as Cognitive Impression Mapping,[1] is a rudimentary form of mind uploading used by human scientists to create "smart" AIs by scanning a human brain, referred to as a donor brain.[2] As the brain is destroyed in the process, CIM will only be used on the recently deceased or on a flash clone of a living human.[3]
