This article's title is a callsign, an alias, or a nickname, as no proper name for the subject has been revealed.

JACKBOOT was a code name of an Office of Naval Intelligence operative attached to the SPARTAN-II Project.[1] In December 2517 Dr. Catherine Halsey assigned the operative to track the fates of the SPARTAN-II flash clone replacements. Halsey had received reports that their longevity was far beyond what had ever been seen in laboratory conditions, and she wondered whether their parents attempting to nurture them back to health could be a factor.
