I still do not understand how the Spartan can see out of this helmet. It reminds me of a Welding Mask, without the rectangular view in the middle. Maybe that small round thing on the face of the helmet is functions as a sight, or maybe it works like a camera that displays the outside on the Spartans visor (Okay, so maybe the second one sounds illogical). I guess time will tell.

Remember, the visor and the HUD are not the same thing. If they were, seeing out of the tiny pinholes of EOD or Rogue helmets would be a pain as well. The HUD projects the view of the outside world on the Spartans helmet interior - the visor depolarises if he/she wants to see with their own eyes, or to show their face. -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 21:21, August 27, 2010 (UTC)
It's hard to see it because of the blurry picture we have, but the little round thing on the front left of where the visor should be seems to be where they see out of, as it changes colour with whatever visor colour you have. For those who don't mind armoury spoilers (which should be none of you, cause you're on this page) it's at 3:30 here:

I promise it's only armoury, no campaign, I don't want to see it yet either :P Alex T Snow 09:04, September 11, 2010 (UTC)

When was GUNGNIR started

I am just courious it is says that the spartan laser was developed in conjunction with gungnir and gungri was only recent. Yet in halo wars spartans are using spartan lasers and the sparrow hawk has a nose mounted version of the spartan laser and the spartan laser was being used in 2544 in halo legends. I am curious when was gungnir made originally
