Shipnet

Shipnet is an information network found aboard United Nations Space Command military vessels, somewhat akin to the 21st-century internet.
Sergeant Michael Baird used Shipnet to research cancer while aboard the UNSC Heart of Midlothian, and found that there were fourteen terabytes of information on the subject.[1]
