Chill[1] is a multiplayer map believed to be featured in Halo 3.

Discovery

It was discovered in a set of file references when fans hacked into the source code of the Halo 3 Beta. No information about it has been provided, and it has not been seen in either leaked or official material. As such, its existence is not confirmed, nor are any of its characteristics.

Speculation

Halo 3 concept art that some fans believe is Chill[2].

Template:Conjecturalization However, some speculate it to be a remake of the Halo: Combat Evolved maps Chill Out (due to the similar names), Ice Fields or Sidewinder (due to those maps' cold climates) or the Halo 2 map Containment (for its snowy weather). On the other hand, there is nothing but circumstantial evidence to indicate that this is a remake at all. Although some theories stated it to be Lockout, this has been debunked, as Lockout has been given the spiritual successor of Guardian.

Others believe that the suspended bridge multiplayer map seen briefly multiple times in the first Halo 3 video documentary that is akin to the Forerunner bridges of Halo: Combat Evolved's Assault on the Control Room and Two Betrayals may be Chill, as there are only five multiplayer maps (Chill, Construct (Level), Cyberdyne (Level), Isolation and Warthog, Inc.) without definitively confirmed terrains, and Chill appears to fit their hyperborean climate better. (However, the fact that the bridge exists would suggest that this is a remake of Gephyrophobia.) Template:Conjecturalization End
