Commanding officer

Template:FOF-1 Commanding Officers are Officers that have been promoted to areas such as the bridge.

In the Navy, Commanding Officer is the official title of the commander of any ship. However, they are referred to as "the Captain" no matter what their actual rank. They are also refered to informally as "Skipper" or "Boss".

There are different divisions for the commanding staff:

Bridge officer

Admiral
Captain
First Officer...Commander
Second Officer...Lieutenant commander

Engineering Officer

Head Engineer...Lieutenant commander
