Role(s):

Monitoring coastal territories[1]

A "scud-rider" was a single pilot puddle jumper originally designed for monitoring coastal territories.[1]

Overview[edit]

Design details[edit]

Designed to monitor coastal territories, "scud-riders" were fitted with buoyant skids to take off and land on water. The riders were not able to leave atmosphere.[1]

Production history[edit]

According to Dorian Nguyen, Mr Garzon's scud-rider was likely almost as old as a Prowler they found that belonged to the Sundered Legion that was considered ancient history by 2548.[2]

History[edit]

Use on Meridian[edit]

Scud-riders were considered cheap "old piles of junk" by Dorian Nguyen, but he had a soft spot for them. One was used to check light signals near the docks at Brume-sur-Mer prior to the Covenant invasion of the planet.[1]
