Artificial

I might have missed/forgotten a line, but do we know if Genesis is entirely artificial? Could just be heavily terraformed with Forerunner structures across its surface. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 16:00, 4 November 2015 (EST)

I thought it was mentioned somewhere to be artificially constructed by the Builders. Perhaps it may have come from the Mission Intel? There are a few audio logs with an unnamed Builder talking.--Spartacus TalkContribs 16:19, 4 November 2015 (EST)
It was Linda "There's a formalness and precision to it all. It seems...artificial, but still organic" Lyk2 (talk) 16:32, 4 November 2015 (EST)
I figured Linda was talking about the environment (the coral-like plants) rather than the world itself. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 16:39, 4 November 2015 (EST)
For what it's worth, The Art of Halo 5: Guardians pg 101 indicates via Kary Lynn Hubbell, "The Forerunner grew Genesis—it's a totally artificial planet—so the landscape reflects the aesthetic of their technology in many ways." -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 21:38, 6 November 2015 (EST)

Crashing on Genesis

Where in the campaign does it say that Cortana and the Mantle's Approach actually crashed on Genesis? In the level "Reunion", Cortana says she found access to the Domain when she was pulled into slipspace, not when she "crashed on Genesis" (which I don't believe she ever mentions). I know the Chief speculates that the ship itself was pulled to Genesis, but that's all. Plus, if the ship went to Genesis, why do we see parts of the ship falling over Installation 03?
