The Blind Wolf.

The Blind Wolf is a creature that was planned to be included in Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo Wars. It was removed from the game due to player control issues. Bungie has stated that the "artificial intelligence programming was difficult to manage as well".^[1]

Several of these creatures are featured on the cover of Halo: Hunters in the Dark.

Trivia

There is a reference to the Blind Wolf in the Halo 2 level Terminal, when the male announcer says, "A child’s 'My Pet Blind Wolf' stuffed toy has been found. Will the owner please claim it at the lost and found."
In Halo Mash-Up: Minecraft Evolved, some horse mobs are retextured to look like the Blind Wolf.
