The SKT-13 Shuttlecraft is a human space shuttle. It is basically a larger version of the Bumblebee escape pod. They are used to ferry UNSC material and personnel to and from various locations or ships. Due to their small size, they are among the few ships that can be transported in a UNSC corvette's small hangar bay.[1]
Operational history
In 2524, a SKT-13 Shuttlecraft carried by the fast-attack corvette Two for Flinching was used to transport Staff Sergeant Avery Johnson and Corpsman Petty Officer First Class Healy to the Tiara, a space station in equatorial geosynchronous orbit over Utgard, on the planet Harvest.[1]
The Command Shuttle mentioned by Cortana in Halo: Combat Evolved may have been one of these.
