A Platoon is a measurement in the Military;
- A military unit consisting of two or more squads or sections and a headquarters unit.
An average UNSC Marine Platoon consists of around twenty-five to thirty personnel, although may consist of up to forty. Naval Special Warfare and ODST platoons usually consist of fewer members- about twenty. UNSC platoons generally contain two twelve-Marine squads, sometimes with a third, "weapons" squad. A senior NCO and/or junior officer command along with a corpsman as medical specialist.
An example is the 105th Drop Jet Platoon.
