Revision as of 10:39, September 23, 2022
Not to be confused with the Tactical Magnum, a variant of the Magnum in Halo 5: Guardians, or the ROF Magnum in Halo Online.
The Automag, also referred to as the Silenced Magnum or Suppressed Magnum, is a precision sidearm featured initially in Halo 3: ODST, which was later added to Halo 3 multiplayer in Halo: The Master Chief Collection, on September 22, 2020. It is a mid-range weapon, with one level of scope, which is well-suited to use as a utility weapon.
In ODST, it is ineffective against shields, but is excellent for finishing off unshielded enemies with headshots. Meanwhile, in Halo 3 multiplayer, it can strip through shields easily and finish the opponent with a headshot, making for a weapon comparable in effectiveness to the Battle Rifle and Covenant Carbine.
