Two uprades are availible for the helmet, the first adds an Up-Armor plate with a Command Network Module on the right side (UA/CNM), and the second adds an Up-Armor plate with a Command Network Module-Improved on the right side (incorrectly called FC-I) (FC-I, should be UA/CNM-I). It is unknown what FC-I stands for, but it is the term used when a CNM-I and HUL are equipped together, which is never actually seen in the armory.

— Description of the Air Assault helmet.
The Air Assault helmet seen in the Armory.

The MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor/AA variant, or Air Assault, is a helmet variant of the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor. It was originally developed as an improvement to the ODST helmet, and was adopted in 2535 as the standard helmet of UNSC Army airborne units.[1] The helmet was used by Kat-B320.

It is available to players as a helmet in Halo: Reach at the cost of 15,000 credits.

Helmet characteristics

Price: 15,000 cR
The AA helmet somewhat resembles the CQB helmet except for a larger visor and the absence of the chin guard. It also resembles the helmet that the ODSTs wear in Halo 2.[2]

Two upgrades are available for the helmet, the first adds an Up-Armor plate with a Command Network Module on the right side (UA/CNM), and the second adds an Up-Armor plate with a Command Network Module-Improved on the right side (incorrectly called FC-I) (FC-I, should be UA/CNM-I). It is unknown what FC-I stands for, but it is the term used when a CNM-I and HUL are equipped together, which is never actually seen in the armory.
