The Plasma Repeater is a plasma-based Directed Energy Weapon used by the Covenant Empire, and is described as a Covenant counterpart to the Assault Rifle.
Description
The Plasma Repeater will be the main weapon for the Sangheili in Halo: Reach, although bungie has stated that it will only be usable in multiplayer. The rifle will differ from the AR in that it is heat based. The Plasma Repeater's rate of fire will slow as it is fired and the weapon heats up. This can be solved by manually venting the rifle, which can be done all at once or gradually. However, as the weapon overheats the accuracy of the weapon will increase.[1]
