The Plasma Repeater will be the main weapon for Elites in Halo: Reach. This rifle will basically be the Covenant answer to the Assault Rifle. The rifle will differ from the AR in that it is heat based. The Plasma Repeater's rate of fire will slow as it is fired and the weapon heats up. This can be solved by manually venting the rifle, which can be done all at once or gradually. However, as the weapon overheats the accuracy of the weapon will increase.[1]
