"Chief told me once that no soldier should be honored for doing what is expected."
— Lt. Niraj Shah

Niraj Shah is a retired Lieutenant of the UNSC Marine Corps [1], who served from 2548 to 2573. He fought at the Second Battle of Mombasa.

Notes

  • Shah has severe plasma scarring on the right side of his face. It is unknown how he sustained those injuries, presumably by being shot in the face with a plasma weapon and somehow living.
  • Judging by his knowledge of the Spartan KIA Protocol it could be assumed the directive was later lifted after the war and the status of the Spartans declassified.
  • Shah seems to be of Indian descent, judging by his Hindu first name meaning Lotus Flowers.
