The UNSC Stalingrad was a UNSC Carrier in 2552. It was commanded by Admiral Carl "Buster" Patterson.

It was the flagship of a small task force sent to Onyx to retrieve Dr. Catherine Halsey and her Spartan-IIs and Spartan-IIIs. During the Battle of Onyx, the ship survived the first and second attacks on the Covenant fleet, but was destroyed when Covenant reinforcements arrived from Slipspace.

Numbers of casualties are difficult to compile due to the vast scope of the battle and the fact that the Soviet government didn't allow estimates to be run for fear the cost would have proven too high.
