Template:Explosives List HORNET Mines are a type of heavy ordinance mine used by the UNSC for its starships. HORNET Mines were nuclear devices capable of considerable stealth, and as such were kept aboard some UNSC prowlers, such as the Dusk.
These mines played an invaluable part of The Battle of Onyx, as the Dusk was able to use a field of HORNET mines to destroy 12 Covenant ships and wound four others.
