The Civilian Warthog (simply referred to as the "Hog" in advertisment) is the civilian version of a United Nations Space Command vehicle.

The three-ton civilian edition of the M12 Warthog is available in a wide range of colors, trim, and equipment specifications. Compared to the military version, this is a luxurious automobile, with trans-system GPS, omni-directional networked surround sound, complete user-specific voice control and a highly efficient long range power cell.

Editions

2549 Model

The last revision (2549) had a slower speed from the 2553 model per wheel in horsepower/kilowattage. As with every other iteration of the Hog, each wheel has an independent drive-by-wire electric motor, with power generated by a forward-housed low-profile hydrogen I/C plant. The hydrogen fuel is burned at very high temperature with a synthetic carbon/silicon catalyst to achieve better fuel consumption.

Trivia

  • A billboard for the civilian warthog can be seen on the map Headlong.
  • It is drivable vehicle in the Custom Edition of Halo: CE
  • Some people have decided to shorten the name for themselves by just calling it the "Hog". Others disagree with this because of the fact that it is in the line of Warthogs, and "Hog" is another name for a pig.
