[[Sergeant  Johnson]] distinguished himself in the line of duty by holding off Covenant forces long enough for the refugees to evacuate, while using [[Plasma Grenades]] he had captured. This led to his acquisition of [[Boren's Syndrome]] and eventually saved him from infection by the [[Flood]].
