The Quad Walker is a prototype all-terrain vehicle developed by ONI's top-secret REAP-X department. Its design is based on various Covenant vehicles, such as Shua'ee-pattern Locust.[Note 1]

Overview[edit]

Because of its unique, highly advanced design, the Quad Walker is rated for in-atmosphere entry, and has a deployment mode that can be deployed much like a drop pod. Its short-range boosters would initiate upon entry, later becoming its four fully-articulable legs.

The vehicle is equipped with two plasma cannons, similar to the Covenant's Shade turret.

Notes[edit]

  1. ^ In a Q&A edition of the Halo Bulletin, Frank O'Connor confirmed that REAP-X itself is canonical and that the vehicles were created in collaboration with 343 Industries; however, MEGA Brands were given considerable latitude in the vehicles' designs. O'Connor hinted that the vehicles also canonically exist, though not with the exaggerated aesthetic of the toys.
