The plasma mine is a type of landmine employed by the Banished.[1]
Overview
Plasma mines are deployed from orbit to the ground. When deployed, the plasma mine is cloaked, and detonates when enemies are detected nearby. Upon detonation, the mine releases boiling plasma in the surrounding area.[1] The plasma mine has a number of derivatives, including the infused mine,[2] the scorch mine,[3] the scout mine,[4] the stasis mine,[5] and the Ultra mine.[6]

- Counter Measures
- Info: Mines will now drop around newly captured resource points. Enemy decap rate is now slowed on all points you control. Jump Pack Brutes will now drop Trip Mines when in flight.
- Tier: 1
- Cost: N/A; passive power
- Plasma Mines I
- Plasma Mines II
In Halo Wars 2, Plasma Mines is a leader power exclusive to Atriox. When activated, three mines are deployed to the targeted location in a linear pattern; rotating the camera allows the player to rotate the pattern’s orientation. A second leader power, Counter Measures, automatically deploys plasma mines around newly-captured Power Nodes. Each mine is cloaked shortly after being deployed, and will detonate when enemy ground units enter its proximity. The explosion damages nearby enemy units, then creates a pool of boiling plasma in the area (lasting approximately 40 seconds); enemy ground units in the pool continue take damage over time.
In Blitz, Plasma Mines are replaced by Scorch Mines, which leaves behind a pool of burning plasma for a much shorter duration.
